Mark is a singer, songwriter and performing artist of spiritual music and cabaret performances. Mark wanted to update his website based on the current site colors and photography. We warmed up the site with the khaki background and made great use of the lovely woodblock images throughout the site. The evocative photography made it a joy to design the site. Design Motif expanded the site to include song cuts and links to purchase and download music online, making Mark's life work more accessable to everyone.
Saniel and Linda needed a refinement of their brand as they entered a new phase of their business direction. We created a site that speaks to their work as spiritual mentors. Using stock photography and photos from their events we designed a warm site to inspire their students.
A book site for a newly released book about true stories of survivors healing from sexual abuse. Carolyn began with a small, leaf pendant and the desire to have a website that was inspirational and honest. The site is for both teens and adults, so the challenge was to have a balance in design that didn't sway towards a young audience. Design Motif did this through the use of hip fonts and bright, bold colors. The site is really an extention of the book's resources with lots of reading and film recommendations as well as other websites for recovery and healing.
Marcia needed a site that reaches religious and educational audiences. We began at a classic corporate and moved into the realm of the divine using images of people engaging in prayer, places of worship and the everyday diversity of beauty. We even added a blog to excerpt on her homepage so she can post news and articles keeping her homepage fresh using Word Press.

Dauphine Press
Design Motif took Dauphine through a complete brand change from Exclamation Invitations. Orginally designed by Dragonfly Graphics. Design Motif updated it with the new logo (by a wedding calligrapher) and colors throughout the site while maintaining it for Dauphine Press throughout most of 2004. New invitation images were processed and added, the homepage, custom design section and pricing page expanded and updated. The site has since gone through another re-design and is maintained in-house.
This is possibly the most interesting and favorite site I've had the opportunity to design in collaboration with the book artist, Brittany Sanders. A very dynamic and interactive website, it allows the viewer to explore the artist's work through books and visual graphics used in the site's layout.
Working with the beautiful photography of Alison Harris, Village Voice Bookshop got a considerable make-over, showcasing the architecture and books of this quaint shop "located in the heart of the historic Saint Germain des Près neighborhood, between the cobblestones of Place Saint Germain des Près and the equally charming Place Saint Sulpice." Adding to the depth of their site and bringing in the archives of author event photos, this site is now living on the web as a presence that speaks to the charm and activity happening around the bookshop.
This website was specifically Search Engine Optimization. I consulted with the Client's web designer to re-design the home page. Then I added wrote and added new meta tags throughout the site and added a links page and links campaign to improve search engine listings on many of the major search engines in the area of celebrity weddings and destination weddings.
Using photos of the building's brick characteristics along with its brick oven, we captured the warmth of the dining experience at Central Market. Located adjacent to the Petaluma River in the heart of historic downtown Petaluma, Chef Tony Najiola rediscovered and tastefully integrated the turn of the century building into a contemporary yet rustic showcase designed to compliment Central Market's excellent and unpretentious dining fare.
This website was designed by a friend. I created the web-redy images and coded them and the content into a website.
An extention of Design Motif, these pages were created to offer astrology services to friends and acquaintances.
One of our early works, this site was designed for a friend to showcase her handmade tie-dye prayer flags.
One of Design Motif's early designs for a non-profit marine education organization.

Peter needed a re-design to incorporate a better navigation. A vast site, with many pages, having a simple navigation design, a new homepage and an update of a more uniform style sheet of fonts, colors and clean links was essential to this update. Design Motif created the style sheet and new look for the homepage including the collage. Since Peter maintains his own site, he incorporated the new design throughout the site.
This site was created as a phase I site, with room to grow. Using images that hold significance for the Elizabeth Ferguson, as well as bright, fun colors this site is attractive and enjoyable exploration of the services offered. The brand's style and colors reflect the business philosophy of Evolve Consulting.
One of the first websites designed by Design Motif. This is the documentary arm of Walking Bear Digital Video, this site tracks current creative projects.
One of Design Motif's early designs for our local junior high. the site has been updated, but still uses much of the functionality of the original design style and color.
By blending vintage Hollywood aesthetics with a hint of the digital age and a bit of the natural world this site speaks to the client's taste and philosophy. Walking Bear Productions is a professional digital video production company specializing in corporate training and marketing multimedia, educational videos and curriculum, and community-affirming documentary films.
Sabrina Page wanted a unique site to compliment her unique dance workshops and women's circle. We combined her love of nature with bold colors and fun fonts that express movement and energy. We even customized a blog to work with her site so she can post news and articles on her blog site using Word Press.
Bringing images and more film trailers to give a glimpse of the amazing body of films, visitors to this site now have more films available for their viewing pleasure. The new design (done in collaboration with Brittany Sanders) allows easy access to all the films now available for purchase on the easy right-hand navigation column. Using slideshows the visitor can now see more than just a video jacket. The third-party shopping cart was also customized to include new graphics from the website.
This website was designed for Illuminations Press Room. They are now maintaining it in-house.
This website has won a Design Firm Award. Please visit our

This literary speaker agent needed a redesigned website to act as a resource for the many best-selling authors he represents. Many of the authors keep their event calendars on this site. So it was designed with the ability of expansion in mind, but with flexibility for each individual authors' pages.
